Car service Kočevje
Routine servicing, oil and filter changes, and repairs for cars of every make.
Computer diagnostics of vehicle faults: we read the stored fault codes from the control units, find the cause of the warning light and tell you what needs repairing. For vehicles of all makes.
A modern vehicle has several control units that log every deviation. Diagnostics reads that log and turns it into an answer about what is going on with the vehicle.
Engine, ABS, airbag or another warning on the dashboard. The readout shows which fault is stored and what it means.
Rough running, loss of power, hard starting, higher consumption or jerky gear changes — even when no light is on.
Once the fault is fixed we clear the code and check that it does not come back.
Car diagnostics is a check of the vehicle with a diagnostic device that we connect to the vehicle's diagnostic socket (OBD). The control units of the engine, gearbox, brakes and other systems constantly monitor the sensors and store a fault code when something is out of range. The device reads these codes and also shows live sensor values while the engine is running.
A control unit can store a fault before a warning light comes on. A scan therefore also makes sense when you notice a change while driving but no light is on.
The diagnostic tool reads the faults that the vehicle's control units log when something deviates — a misfire, an out-of-range sensor value or an open circuit, for example. The code says where to look, but not always why: the same code can mean a failed part, a poor connection or the consequence of another fault. That is why we always check the code against the vehicle before proposing a repair.
What the individual warning lights mean and which ones require you to stop immediately is described in the article Dashboard warning lights: when to visit a garage.
We carry out diagnostics for vehicles of all makes. You can bring a car or a light van.
Because we are also a repair shop, we can fix the fault that diagnostics finds — here, without you having to look for another workshop with a printout in hand.
Kolodvorska cesta 16, 1330 Kočevje. Open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:00; the recovery service is reachable 24 hours a day.
Yes. We carry out diagnostics for vehicles of all makes.
A control unit has detected a deviation and logged it. What exactly it means only the readout can tell — the same light can mean something minor or a serious fault. If the light is flashing or the vehicle behaves differently, do not keep driving and call us.
No. Diagnostics finds the fault and shows where to look; the repair fixes it. Because we are also a repair shop, we can carry it out on the same premises.
It is best to arrange it by phone on 041 341 102 — that way we take the vehicle in as soon as you bring it.
OBD is the vehicle's self-diagnosis system with a standard socket to which we connect the diagnostic device. Through it we read fault codes and data from the control units.
Yes, if you notice a change while driving — uneven running, loss of power or higher fuel consumption. A control unit can store a fault before the light comes on.
You can, but that does not remove the fault. If the cause remains, the control unit stores the fault again and the light comes back on. That is why we clear faults only after the repair.
The workshop is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:00. The towing service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the week.
